Enchanted River of Hinatuan


Hinatuan is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Surigao del Sur, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 36,170 people in 6,445 on the southern coast of Surigao Del Sur Province. It is bounded on the north by the town of Baroso, on the east by the Philippine Sea, on the south by Bislig Bay, and on the west by the province of Agusan Del Sur and the town of Tagbina. It has a total land area of square kilometers and is politically subdivided into 24 barangays. 

 
This picture above shows a deep bluegreen  water on the left, the caves are located there as they say. Around 12 noon to 1 pm, Enchanted River staffs rings the bell requesting people to clear the river, its feeding time for the fishes. Big fishes gathers and catches food thrown to the river. People get excited looking at the fishes. And those fish are the reason why they called it the Enchanted River.
 
 
 Who will imagine that this Enchanted River is hidden behind the mountains of Surigao del Sur. So what are you waiting for!!! come and enjoy the fresh clear waters of this river and feel the beauty of it's nature...

  1. Nwala na yung pgka-enchanted ng river sa dami ng tao. I am planning to visit the river by next week pero parang nawalan ako ng gana, kasi summer ngayon, for sure maraming tao but still a very spectacular river. :D
